On the initiative of Industries Minister Shahnawaz Hussain, a one-day conference of the country’s big investors is being organized on May 12 at Taj Mansingh Hotel in Delhi. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will inaugurate the Bihar Investors’ Summit and will also count the list of central government’s schemes for the development of Bihar.
In fact, once again Bihar seemed to be lagging behind in the race for development. Due to lack of proper environment, the enthusiasm of the investors had cooled down. Industrial parks built for decades were closed. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the road, electricity, law and order were improved in the NDA government. But the environment could not be created for the development of industries. But now the atmosphere is starting to change. Industries Minister Shahnawaz Hussain claims that since he took over the ministry, Bihar has made a lot of progress in the field of industries.
Shahnawaz says that a proposal to invest Rs 36,253 crore has come for the establishment of more than 550 units in Bihar in a year. Alam is that Bihar has now made strides towards making it the ethanol hub of the country. In April, a greenfield grain based ethanol plant was inaugurated in Purnia district. This is the first greenfield plant in the country after the Central Government and Bihar’s Ethanol Policy 2021. Apart from this, two ethanol plants are ready in Gopalganj and 21 in Arrah of Bhojpur district, which will be inaugurated soon.
